She also loves drawing them. As it turns out, everyone else loves her drawings\u2026<\/p>\n<p>A graphic designer by day, Georgia Norton Lodge first began drawing houses when her sister (writer and comedian Zo\u00eb Norton Lodge) wrote her first book \u2018<a href=\"https:\/\/giramondopublishing.com\/product\/almost-sincerely\/\">Almost Sincerely<\/a>\u2019, and asked Georgia to do the cover design and illustration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe book was set in Annandale, where we grew up, so I set out to draw all of our favourite neighbourhood buildings, starting with our family home\u201d says Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd as I drew it, I thought \u2018hey, this is actually pretty cute\u2019 maybe there\u2019s something here\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>And sure enough, once the word was out, requests for Georgia\u2019s house drawings started flowing.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBasically, my sister showed her friends, and they wanted their houses drawn. Then her friend\u2019s parents and their cousin\u2019s cousins started asking me and it just grew from there, really\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, I built myself a website, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.georgiadrawsahouse.com\/\"><em>Georgia Draws A House<\/em><\/a> was born!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19135\" src=\"https:\/\/www.purefinance.com.au\/uploads\/2019\/03\/3.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"5163\" height=\"3480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.purefinance.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/3.png 1920w, https:\/\/www.purefinance.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/3-300x202.png 300w, https:\/\/www.purefinance.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/3-1024x690.png 1024w, https:\/\/www.purefinance.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/3-840x566.png 840w, https:\/\/www.purefinance.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/3-1720x1159.png 1720w, https:\/\/www.purefinance.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/3-992x669.png 992w, https:\/\/www.purefinance.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/3-768x518.png 768w, https:\/\/www.purefinance.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/3-544x367.png 544w, https:\/\/www.purefinance.com.au\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/3-400x270.png 400w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 5163px) 100vw, 5163px\" \/>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For many of us, home is truly where the heart is. It never gets old!\u201d she says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust last night, I received an order from a man who had recently moved with his wife from Australia to Estonia. He\u2019s getting a drawing of their home in Australia as a surprise for her, so they can hang it on their wall and remember that one day, they\u2019ll be going back there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI get these kinds of stories all the time, and it just makes me so, so happy.\u201d<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s nice that something I can do, can have so much meaning for someone else. It\u2019s really special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Love your house?
